Svetlana Writtle is the UK’s first certified female Russian Kettlebell Instructor. An accomplished fitness professional, she is a Master of Sport, a certified YMCA Personal Trainer, a Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach (Level 1), a Certified Sport Specific Trainer, and an International Kettlebell & Fitness Federation (IKFF) Certified Kettlebell Instructor.
A fitness professional for over 15 years, Svetlana first got into kettlebell training in her native Russia. “It’s in my blood”, she says. “My father started training with kettlebells as a young man, to get stronger and leaner, as well as trying to impress the local girls in the town. When he learnt that I was heading to the USA to further my training and gain additional kettlebell qualifications, he gave me his first ever kettlebell or ‘girya’. It was very touching and I still have it today” admits Svetlana.
Svetlana has been trained by some of the industry’s foremost kettlebell specialists including Pavel Tsatsouline, Brett Jones, Steve Maxwell, Steve Cotter and Jonathan Lewis. She works closely alongside professionals including physiotherapists, osteopaths, other strength and conditioning coaches and trainers, to ensure she is up-to-date with the latest news and developments in the fitness industry. This allows her to apply best practice to create new and exciting programmes to help her clients achieve the results they desire.
